Source verification

Trust the source before screening relies on it.

A completed reference can still rely on an unverified source.

Serynn brings the organisation, contact route and supporting evidence behind an employment claim into view. Reviewers can see what supports the claim, what remains uncertain and where to look next. Serynn calls the organisation check Veracity and the document check Preuve.

Serynn is in development. The employer and reference-route check is going into controlled testing this autumn, with early pilots to follow.

Reachability is not authenticity.

The organisation and the route to it

A live website, working email address and answered telephone show that a route is reachable. Establishing who controls that route is a separate question, particularly when a website or contact point has been created specifically to receive reference requests.

Serynn brings together company records, websites, domains, contact details and wider corroboration to answer two questions independently: does the organisation exist, and does the submitted route genuinely belong to it?

Where the evidence is strong enough, Serynn can identify a verified route for the reference request. Where it is not, the next step is to source contact details independently. The evidence and its limits stay visible in either case.

The document on its own evidence

Serynn assesses supporting documents on their own evidence: signs of alteration, internal consistency and whether the issuer agrees with the claim. This keeps confidence in an organisation separate from confidence in a particular document.

Editing software alone is not proof of manipulation. Findings are considered together, confidence and limitations remain visible, and the recommended next step is review rather than automatic rejection.

Connections across cases

A telephone number, email route, website infrastructure or document pattern may mean little on its own. If it appears across apparently unrelated organisations, it can reveal a connection worth reviewing. Shared infrastructure is a reason to investigate the context, not a conclusion in itself.

Serynn connects organisations, contact routes, domains and document patterns. It never builds a history of a candidate, and it never makes the hiring decision.

Principled by design

Uncertain is not the same as fraudulent.

Missing or contradictory evidence should reduce confidence and prompt closer review. It should never become an automatic judgement about a person.

A stronger start to screening

Keep your existing screening provider. Change what the process is asked to trust at the start.

A verified route into screening

Where the evidence supports the claim, screening can proceed through a verified route. Uncertainty prompts further evidence gathering. Material inconsistencies can be reviewed before a reference request goes to a contact route nobody has verified.

Human review where it matters

Contradictory or incomplete evidence is assembled for a person to assess. Missing evidence reduces confidence; it does not become evidence of wrongdoing.

Every check strengthens the next

Confirmed organisations, routes and reviewed patterns can strengthen future checks. Keeping the evidence behind a connection visible helps reviewers understand why it matters and when it needs to be reassessed.

Test it against the checks you already run.

We are preparing early pilots with screening providers, employers and hiring platforms. Compare source and document findings with your established routes and tell us what helps your reviewers in practice.
